Associate Account Director

The Associate Account Director of Client Success exists to provide comprehensive, strategic, and business-centric support for their portfolio of clients as well as managing a team of Associate Account Managers/ Account Managers and ensuring exceptional execution and personalized service for each of their clients. This role’s responsibilities include identifying key clients, forming direct collaborations with decision-makers, and facilitating case study creation and promotional/press partnership opportunities. Providing leadership, strategic guidance, mentorship, and escalation support for their clients and their team is essential to this role. This role must cultivate trust and confidence with customers and mentor client success staff within their portfolio. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Success:

  • Lead the strategic oversight of program strategies to ensure alignment with client objectives, utilizing performance data and market trends to guide optimization efforts.
  • Oversee the tracking and analysis of campaign performance, ensuring quality and regulatory adherence while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide comprehensive, strategic, and business-centric support for their portfolio of clients, while ensuring exceptional execution and personalized service for each of their clients.
  • Consistently demonstrate the agency’s value through regular business reviews, presenting innovative solutions, and educating clients on emerging trends.

Account Team Management:

  • Actively works with and coaches their direct reports and other supporting team members to develop skills needed in each role. Develop best practices to be adopted by their account team, hold team accountable to follow best practices
  • Empower Account Managers with the tools and knowledge necessary for effective campaign management and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the agency.
  • Conduct internal reviews to evaluate campaign effectiveness, integrate client feedback for bespoke strategy development, and maintain alignment with the client’s long-term marketing objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing services, with a strong preference for those with affiliate marketing expertise.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, with demonstrated success in team growth and professional development.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and scaling strategic client accounts within a dynamic marketing environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including experience in mentoring and developing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in engaging and influencing senior executives and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with digital marketing platforms and advanced analytical tools, with the ability to leverage these technologies to drive campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Expertise in identifying and capitalizing on market trends to create strategic marketing opportunities that align with client goals.
  • Advanced project management capabilities, with a proven track record of successfully leading multiple complex projects in a dynamic marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in affiliate and partner marketing, with an in-depth understanding of performance metrics and optimization strategies.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and drive client success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within client organizations.
  • The ability to innovate and present new marketing solutions and technologies that keep the agency and clients at the forefront of the industry.
